... NWS damage survey for 04/23/18 tornado event in Ruskin, FL...

.Update... Determined to be a tornado after daylight survey

.Overview... As a shower moved onshore last night, surface convergence
allowed for the formation of a brief EF-0 tornado. The tornado formed
near the US Hwy 41 bridge that crosses the Little Manatee River in Ruskin,
FL. The tornado traveled east northeast and caused EF-0 damage to the Paradise
Mobile Home Park.

survey_summary: wind speeds were based on Mobile home and tree
damage. Damage consisted of Mobile home roof damage (including
a collapsed car port) along with 4-5 inch snapped Oak limb and
fence damage. Light weight debris was thrown several hundred
feet. Additionally, a shed and large construction dumpster
were also moved several feet in a different direction to debris.

Ef scale: the Enhanced Fujita scale classifies tornadoes into
the following categories.

EF0... weak... ... 65 to 85 mph
EF1... weak... ... 86 to 110 mph
EF2... strong... .111 to 135 mph
EF3... strong... .136 to 165 mph
EF4... violent... 166 to 200 mph
EF5... violent... >200 mph
