... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until midnight CST

* what... heavy mixed precipitation at times this morning before
changing over to all snow by around midday. Plan on difficult
travel conditions throughout the day today into this evening.
Tree branches could fall as well. Additional snow accumulations
of 2 to 4 inches, with localized amounts up to 6 inches, and ice
accumulations of around one tenth are expected. Substantial
blowing snow and reduced visibility is forecast this afternoon
and tonight.

* Where... portions of northern Iowa.

* When... until midnight.

* Additional details... winds gusting as high as 50 mph will
cause patchy blowing and drifting snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow, sleet
and ice are occurring. This will make travel very hazardous or
