Special Statement

Expires 12:00 PM EST on January 22, 2018
Statement as of 8:51 am CST on January 22, 2018

... Visibilities reduced in dense fog this morning...

As rain showers end, an area of dense fog is moving into portions
of central Iowa. Visibilities are rapidly being reduced to around
one quarter mile or less in the fog. The fog is expected to be
fairly transient this morning, as drier air moves in from the
south. Therefore when traveling, you may go from areas with no
visibility restrictions to an area with greatly reduced visibility
over the course of a few miles. The fog will be possible through
the mid to late morning hours.
