The Flood Warning continues for
the Calcasieu River near Kinder.
* From Tuesday evening until further notice... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 11:00 am Saturday the stage was 11.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Tuesday evening and continue
to rise to near 17.0 feet by early Thursday morning.
* Impact... at stages near 16.0 feet... flooding of wooded areas near
the river will occur.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Calcasieu River near Oberlin.
* From Monday afternoon until further notice... or until the warning
is cancelled.
* At 11:00 am Saturday the stage was 7.6 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Monday early afternoon and
continue to rise to near 18.0 feet by Tuesday evening.
* Impact... at stages near 15.0 feet... moderate flooding will occur
with several access roads to the river flooded.
* Impact... at stages near 13.0 feet... minor lowland flooding near
the river will occur.
* Impact... at stages near 12.0 feet... water begins to overflow the
banks on both sides of the river.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Calcasieu River near Oakdale.
* From late tonight to Wednesday afternoon... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 9:00 am Friday the stage was 7.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by early tomorrow and continue to
rise to near 15.0 feet by early Monday morning.The river will fall
below flood stage by Tuesday afternoon.
* Impact... at stages near 14.0 feet... low secondary roads near the
river begin to flood. Several houses in close proximity to the
river are subject to flooding.
* Impact... at stages near 12.0 feet... minor lowland flooding, mainly
forested areas along the river will occur. Park and picnic ground
off of Highway 10 begins to flood.

... Wind Advisory in effect until 6 PM CST this evening...

The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect until 6 PM CST this evening.

* Timing... the rest of today.

* Winds... around 20 mph sustained with gusts to near 30 mph.

* Impacts... loose lawn objects will be blown around. Travel may
become difficult, especially for high profile vehicles, on open
roadways and bridges.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 20 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
