The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a heat
advisory, which is in effect from noon today to 9 PM MDT this

* Location... Chaves, De Baca, Guadalupe, Roosevelt, and Quay

* Timing... Sunday afternoon and evening.

* Temperatures... highs today will reach 100 to 107.

* Local impacts... hazardous heat will pose an elevated risk of
heat exhaustion and heat stroke, especially for the very Young
and the elderly. Pets and livestock will also be impacted.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When
possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.
