through Tuesday evening...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of central and western New York... including the
following counties... in central New York... northern Cayuga. In
western New York... Allegany... Cattaraugus... Chautauqua...
Genesee... Livingston... Monroe... Niagara... northern Erie...
Ontario... Orleans... southern Erie... Wayne and Wyoming.

* From 1 PM EST this afternoon through Tuesday evening.

* Warming temperatures, snowmelt and rainfall will enhance the
risk for ice jam flooding. Rainfall during the watch period will
average around a half inch with the potential for three quarters
of an inch locally.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be
alert for possible flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to
flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding

... Dense fog advisory now in effect until 4 PM EST this
afternoon...

* locations... southern Erie and Wyoming counties and the western
southern tier for mainly higher terrain.

* Timing... through late this afternoon.

* Visibilities... as low as a quarter mile at times.

* Impacts... dense fog will create poor visibilities, resulting
in hazardous driving conditons.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory is issued when dense fog will substantially
reduce visibilities, resulting in hazardous driving conditions in
some areas. Motorists are advised to use caution and slow down,
as objects on and near roadways will be seen only at close range.
