... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 615 am EST Tuesday for
central Erie County...

At 926 PM EST, reporting gauges indicated flooding across the warned
area. Flooding due to ice jams and the combination of rain and
snowmelt will continue on Buffalo, Cayuga and Cazenovia creeks
tonight. Erratic gauge data will likely persist due to ice impacting
the gauges.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Buffalo, Cheektowaga, West Seneca, Lackawanna, Depew, Lancaster, Elma
and small Boat Harbor.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

western New York... Allegany... Cattaraugus... Chautauqua...
Genesee... Livingston... Monroe... Niagara... northern Erie...
Ontario... Orleans... southern Erie... Wayne and Wyoming.

* Through Tuesday evening.

* Warming temperatures, snowmelt and rainfall will enhance the
risk for ice jam flooding. Rainfall during the watch period will
average around a half inch.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be
alert for possible flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to
flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding
