... Winter Storm Warning in effect until 7 am PST Wednesday...

* what... heavy snow. Snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches through
early to mid afternoon. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 7
inches, heaviest later this afternoon and tonight.

* Where... in Washington, western Columbia River gorge and
central Columbia River gorge. In Oregon, Upper Hood River
Valley, western Columbia River gorge and central Columbia
River gorge.

* When... until 7 am PST Wednesday.

* Additional details... plan on difficult travel conditions,
including during the evening commute. Expect significant
reductions in visibility at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you
must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your
