The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Denton creek near Justin.
* From Friday afternoon to Saturday afternoon... or until the warning
is cancelled.
* At 0800 PM Thursday the stage was 3.22 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river should rise above flood stage by Friday
afternoon and should crest at 11 feet Friday evening.
The river should fall below flood stage by early Saturday
morning. If less rainfall than forecast occurs, the river may remain
below flood stage.
* At 10 feet, minor out of bank flooding will occur to farm and ranch
lands near the creek.

Wind Advisory

Statement as of 3:38 am CST on December 14, 2018

... Wind Advisory remains in effect until noon CST today...

* timing... now until noon Friday.

* Winds... northerly winds between 20 and 30 mph, with gusts up to
35 to 40 mph.

* Impacts... loose outdoor objects, such as decorations, will
likely be blown about in the wind. Driving will become difficult
on east-west oriented roads, especially for those in high-profile
vehicles. A few falling tree branches will pose a hazard to

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of at least 20 to
30 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Residents may
wish to take action to secure trash cans, lawn furniture, and
other lightweight outdoor objects that may be blown around in the
strong winds.
