... Flood Warning extended until Saturday evening... the Flood Warning continues
for
the San Bernard River near Boling
* until Saturday evening... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0815 PM Thursday the stage was 21.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 21.8 feet by after midnight
tomorrow. The river will fall below flood stage Saturday morning.
* At 22.0 feet... moderate lowland flooding begins upstream from the gage with
significant backwater flooding up Peach Creek in Wharton County inundating low
lying areas. Minor backwater flooding up Snake Creek in Fort Bend County
begins.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Brazos river near Rosharon
* until Friday evening... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0831 PM Thursday the stage was 43.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 43.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by tomorrow
late morning.
* At 43.0 feet... minor lowland flooding begins in vicinity of gage as flow
escapes the Main Channel. Cattle should be removed from low areas in the flood
plain.

... Wind Advisory remains in effect from 2 PM this afternoon to
3 PM CST Friday...

* event... winds west to northwest 20 to 30 mph. Gusts to 40 mph.

* Timing... Thursday afternoon through Friday afternoon.

* Impact... loose objects outside may below away. Be sure to
secure any tents, canopies, patio furniture, bouncy houses,
and high- profile cranes. High profile vehicles on southwest
to northwest or west to east roads may experience strong cross
winds.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Drivers of vans... campers... trailers... and other high-profile
vehicles should be alert to the danger of these winds...
especially when driving along east to west oriented roads.
