the

* Flood Warning for small streams in...
central Washington County in southeastern Ohio...

Ritchie County in northwestern West Virginia...
Doddridge County in northern West Virginia...
northeastern Wirt County in northwestern West Virginia...
Tyler County in northern West Virginia...
northeastern Wood County in northwestern West Virginia...
northwestern Harrison County in northern West Virginia...

* until 545 PM EST

* at 209 PM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that heavy rain was falling over the area. The heavy rain will
cause flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Marietta, Harrisville, St. Marys, Middlebourne, Williamstown, Paden
City, Sistersville, Pennsboro, Belmont, West Union, North Bend
State Park, Boaz, Newport, Matamoras, Lowell, Ellenboro, Cairo,
Pullman, friendly and fly.

* Most of the heavy rain showers have moved out of the warned area.
However, runoff will continue to flow into streams, creeks and
rivers. This will continue to cause flooding.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate Route.

Charley, or near Blaine, moving northeast at 30 mph.

Locations impacted include...
Charleston, Nitro, Madison, Louisa, Spencer, Winfield, Glenville,
Wayne, Hamlin, Sutton, Grantsville, Clay, Blaine, Beech Fork State
Park, Yatesville lake State Park, Jefferson, South Charleston, St.
Albans, Dunbar and hurricane.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 79 between mile markers 1 and 85.
Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 96 and 128.
Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 24 and 57.
West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 81 and 95.
Route 119 near mile marker 41, and between mile markers 46 and 80.

Very heavy downpours are also occurring with these showers, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

small creeks and streams, and ponding of water on country roads and
farmland along the banks of creeks and streams.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
