... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 7 PM this evening to
noon EST Wednesday...

* what... freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations of up to
a tenth of an inch expected.

* Where... the Piedmont triad region and the Interstate 85/40
corridor from The Triad to north of the Triangle area.

* When... from 7 PM this evening to noon EST Wednesday.

* Additional details... freezing rain will create a glaze of ice
tonight into Wednesday. Initially expect most of the icing to
accrue on elevated surfaces. However, as temperatures fall to
near 30 late tonight and Wednesday morning, some icing may
develop on area streets, roads, bridges, overpasses, sidewalks
and parking lots. The hazardous conditions could impact the
morning or evening commute. Freezing rain will change to rain by
around noon Wednesday as temperatures warm above freezing.
