Warnings & Notices

Blizzard Warning

Expires 6:00 AM CST on January 24, 2019
Statement as of 3:40 am CST on January 24, 2019

... Blizzard Warning now in effect until 6 am CST early this
morning...

* what... blizzard conditions expected in open country along with
very cold wind chills.

* Where... portions of northwest and west central Minnesota and
east central and southeast North Dakota.

* When... until 6 am CST early this morning.

* Additional details... widespread blowing snow will significantly
reduce the visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the
morning commute. The dangerously cold wind chills could cause
frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions, making travel extremely dangerous. Do not travel. If
you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get
stranded, stay with your vehicle.

The latest Road conditions for North Dakota can be found at
dot.ND.Gov/travel and for Minnesota at 511mn.Org, or by calling
5 1 1 in either state.
